Plan Your Hawaiian Vacation
Hawaii consists of 6 major islands to visit: Kaua’i, O’ahu, Moloka’i, Lana’i, Maui, and the Island of Hawaii. Each island has its own unique personality, restaurants, activities, and sights. We invite you to experience all these islands have to offer.
- Our Favorite Restaurants: Mama’s Fish House in Maui has been family-owned for 50 years. Located on the North Shore, Mama’s is unique because they catch and serve their fish on the same day. Monkeypod Kitchen my Merriman has two locations on Maui and one on Oahu. They support local organic farming, ranching, and fishing, so their menu is seasonal.
- Our Favorite Hotels/Resorts: The Holualoa Inn on the Island of Hawaii is one of the island’s hidden treasures. Situated in the Kona region, the rooms have balconies, private bathrooms, and a few have hot tubs. The Lodge at Kukui’ula features its own bungalows or cottages, with full kitchens, dining areas, and luxurious bedrooms.
- Our Favorite Hikes: Makapu’u Point Lighthouse Trail is a great hike for beginners. This two-mile roundtrip walk offers gorgeous ocean views along the Windward Coast of Oahu. From November to May is humpback season, so bring your binoculars. For those more experienced hikers, we suggest the Koko Crater on Oahu. It’s two miles roundtrip that uses an abandoned railway as its path. It’s a tough trek, but the view of Hanauma Bay is more than worth it.

Island of Hawaii
❤️ Favorite Activity – Relaxing on the beaches
The Island of Hawaii is the youngest and largest of the six islands, hence the name “The Big Island. With climates ranging from Wet Tropical to Polar Tundra, you can experience all but four of the world’s different climate zones. Visit Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, the snow-capped mountains of Maunakea, and the valleys of Hilo and Hamakua.
O'ahu
❤️ Favorite Activity – Pearl Harbor
O’ahu is known as “The Gathering Place” and is home to the largest population of people. With its nightlife, Honolulu craft beers and food, Honolulu is dynamic and always changing. Visit the areas of Waikiki and Moana Center for their world-class shopping. Local culture is everywhere in the neighborhoods of Kakaako, Kaimuki, and Kapahulu.
Moloka'i
❤️ Favorite Activity – Take a helicopter tour
One of the smaller islands, Moloka’i measures 38 miles long and 10 miles across at its widest point. Most of its population consists of Native Hawaiian ancestry. Whether you’re wandering along the cliffs leading to Kalaupapa National Historical Park or discovering Pāpōhaku Beach, one of Hawaiʻi’s largest white-sand beaches, Moloka’i is truly an island of outdoor adventure. Contrary to O’ahu, Moloka’i is very rural. You will find no traffic lights, no shopping malls, and no skyscrapers.
Maui
❤️ Favorite Activity – Experience a Luau
Known as “The Valley Isle”, Maui is the second largest island, beloved for its amazing beaches. With its breath-taking beauty and high-end luxury resorts, stunning sunrises and sunsets, it’s no wonder Maui has been voted “Best Island in the U.S.” by Condé Nast Traveler for more than 20 years.
Lana'i
❤️ Favorite Activity – Visiting the Historic Lana’i City
If your dream vacation is to unplug with no crowds and the island’s slow pace, then Lana’i is for you. Treat yourself to a lovely reprieve from the fast pace of your usual schedule. Explore the historic town of Lana’i City, a short ride from the harbor.
Kaua'i
❤️ Favorite Activity – Explore the Wailua River
Known locally as “The Garden Island”, Kaua’i is the oldest and northernmost island in the Hawaiian chain. Many years of growth have created tropical rainforests, rivers, and waterfalls. There are areas of Kaua’i that are accessible by sea or air only. Part of the charm of Kaua’i is the fact that the island is mostly undeveloped.
